Wild West Retreat for Relaxation and Adventure

I don’t think I have enough words to describe how amazing Hanks ranch is! My fiancée and I were looking forward to our NYE stay but nothing could have prepared us for this little slice of heaven tucked away in peace and quiet. We arrived to find home baked bread (fresh that day!) along with home made butter and jam and it was delicious!! Hank then came and introduced himself later on and we were again surprised and touched by the gift of a bottle of bubbly to see the new year in! Our stay was rounded off with a cozy fire pit on which we made s’mores not to mention the comfiest bed and most amazing showers to boot! If I could give this place ten stars I would! I would recommend Hanks to anyone wanting to experience a quiet cozy getaway with a western twist! Fantastic place.

Excellent stay at Hank's Ranch. Me, my wife and our dog stayed in Jail. It was very unique and fun with all sorts of quirky features, from horse shoe door handles, the bucket shower, actual rifles, to jail bars around the bed. The actual cabin was very well designed and high end, and stayed very toastie. It's a peaceful site. Hank provided some nice touches like cowboy shaped chocolates, bread, butter and jam. We paid extra for the welcome meal and wine which was delicious. Hank was very friendly and chatty. The area in front of the cabins is good for dog walking. There's a decent pub in the nearby village for dinner. Would recommend for glamping with a fun theme.

A Rootin’-Tootin’ Weekend at Hanks Ranch Jailhouse!

Well now, me, my husband, and our trusty sidekick Watson the dog just spent the weekend at this here Western-themed jailhouse, and let me tell ya — it was the most fun we’ve had since the last cattle drive!

Don’t let the word “jail” fool ya — this place has all the comforts a cowboy could ask for. Cozy beds, modern amenities, and a warm, welcoming feel that makes you forget you’re supposed to be “behind bars.”

We had ourselves a blast playin’ good ol’-fashioned Western games — lassoing, horseshoe tossin’, and laughin’ ‘til the stars came out. Watson loved every minute of it, trottin’ ‘round like the sheriff’s right-hand pup.

The scenery was somethin’ to behold — wide open skies and the biggest surprise of all: a wild peacock struttin’ around like he owned the joint! Made the whole place feel like a movie set come to life.

The attention to detail was mighty impressive — props like old shotguns, jail keys, and those classic rockin’ chairs on the porch made for some fantastic photo ops. We snapped plenty out front of the church and the general store — felt like we’d stepped straight into the Old West.

All in all, this stay was a hootin’, hollerin’ good time. If you’re lookin’ for a weekend that’s part comfort, part adventure, and 100% cowboy charm, saddle up and head to this Ranch getaway. You won’t regret it — we’ll surely be back, spurs and all!

Just had an amazing two nights at Hanks Ranch, we stayed in the Jail which was authentic, cosy, such attention to detail, lots of special touches. It was my friends 65th Birthday so we went out all Cowgirl style, sat around the firepit in the evening chatting and just enjoying our surroundings. All of the accommodations are beautiful inside and out. We would certainly go back, thanks Hank for your hospitality and hope to see you again. 🤠

We had a fabulous stay at Hank’s Ranch. So much thought has gone into every detail and we and our dogs were well looked after! It was peaceful and we felt fully immersed in the Western theme. So many nice touches rom the goodies left for the dogs to the chocolates in the fridge. Will definitely be visiting again.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hank’s ranch. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends—with freshly baked homemade bread. The setting is beautiful and truly unique; where else would you find a friendly peacock casually strolling around to greet you?

Hank is a fantastic host, full of local knowledge and kindness, and he’s created such a personal, homely atmosphere here. The ranch itself feels both peaceful and full of character, with plenty of little touches that make it special.

We also loved the charming pub just down the road—perfect for an evening meal after a day of relaxing at the ranch.

If you’re looking for something memorable, authentic, and full of heart, Hank’s ranch is the place. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already looking forward to coming back!

Love Hanks Ranch! Visited for a party and had a look around the cabins which are for hire through Airbnb. Would definitely recommend as they are super cosy and well equipped, with fantastic details from the Wild West theme.

I don’t know where to start to explain just how good a weekend we had at Hanks ranch! Both Hank and Sarah were welcoming and Hank ensured we had the best weekend and showed us how the lasso is done! The accommodation has everything you need with so many little touches to make it extra special. The outdoor space has really been thought about making it your own little paradise. Can’t wait to stay again!

The attention to detail was amazing, me and my partner loved every minute. The treats that were left inside waiting for us on arrival was so sweet, the hot tub is an absolute must!!! Will definitely be booking again soon. Thank you both so much Hank and Sara we can’t wait to return :)
